Scheduling a Tutor Session

Booking a tutoring session is quick and easy! Simply choose a subject or topic you’d like help with, and select a date and time that works best for you. You can schedule sessions online, through our calendar sign up, or by contacting us directly. If you’re unsure about your availability, we’re happy to assist you in finding a convenient slot. Sessions can be held in person or online—whatever fits your schedule!

We’re here to support students in every grade, from kindergarten to high school, with personalized tutoring tailored to their unique needs! Located in Fairport, NY, we proudly serve our local community and also offer online tutoring to reach students wherever they are.

How Tutoring Works

At Core Focus Tutoring, we want to be a educational tool that helps the student as well as the family. We want the process to be as smooth as possible. Here is what we offer:

Tutoring can be in two amounts of time, either a 30 minute session or a 60 minute session.

Tutoring can be done in either in-person, or virtually. If you are local in the Rochester, NY area, in-person tutoring can occur at the local Pittsford Library. Click on the Book Now link to sign up!

We offer a free 20 minute consultation to meet and answer any questions that you may have or to see if we would be a good fit for your student.

Cancellation Policy

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected situations arise, and plans may need to change. To ensure fairness and accommodate all students, we have the following cancellation policy:

1. Notice Requirement:

• If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

2. Late Cancellations:

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost, unless due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

3. No-Shows:

• Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will be considered a “no-show,” and the full session fee will be charged.

4. Rescheduling:

• Sessions canceled with sufficient notice (24+ hours) may be rescheduled at no additional cost, based on tutor availability.

This policy helps maintain the quality of service for all students and ensures the tutor’s time is respected. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out!

Payment Policy

1. Session Rates:

• 30-minute tutoring session: $35.

• 1-hour tutoring session: $50.

2. Payment Terms:

• Payment is due immediately after the tutoring session is completed.

• Accepted payment methods include [Cash, Zelle, or Venmo.].

3. Refunds and Cancellations:

• Sessions canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice will not incur any charges.

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session will be subject to our cancellation policy and may result in a partial or full charge.

4. No-Show Policy:

• If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the full session fee will still be charged.

By attending a session, you agree to the terms outlined in this payment policy.
